A new generation of efficient cooling solutions: EasySMX D10 and Unitek Cooler Dock Pro bring cool innovation to Steam Deck
With the development of game machine technology in recent years, the performance requirements of mobile devices have been continuously improved. Therefore, the problem of overheating has become a major problem restricting the development of its performance. However, two new cooling products, the EasySMX D10 and the Unitek Cooler Dock Pro, look like they could change the game, offering a new cooling solution for handheld devices like the Steam Deck. Both products are designed to solve common Steam Deck overheating issues, and their presence certainly gives Steam Deck users new hope.

First of all, the design of the EasySMX D10 Steam Deck Cooler is very unique. This product adopts an in-line design, which can reduce the temperature by 10 degrees at the maximum gear under the high load of Steam Deck, ensuring the stable operation of the host without frequency reduction. In addition, the product is also equipped with three wind speed gears to adapt to various usage scenarios of the host. In addition, the product adopts a nano-glue anti-slip design. When the anti-slip mat is stained with dust, it can be wiped dry with water to restore the stickiness to ensure the stability of the device during use.

On the other hand, the Unitek Cooler Dock Pro is a product based on the official Steam Deck dock, and its main feature is the addition of a thermoelectric cooler, similar to the cooling device of the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate mobile phone. This cooler sits on the rear of the base and can be connected to the console via the included USB-C cable. In addition, Cooler Dock Pro is also equipped with RGB lighting fan and metal contact plate, which is unique in design and flexible in use.

Perhaps the biggest selling point of these two products, however, is their thermal performance. According to Unitek, when running Apex Legends, the average surface temperature of the Steam Finished browsing Deck was around 46°C (114.8°F), but using Cooling Dock Pro, this figure dropped to 34.5°C (94.1°F) , fully within the recommended ambient temperature range1. The EasySMX D10 is not far behind either. Its efficient heat dissipation function can bring a 10-degree cooling under the high load of the Steam Deck, ensuring the stable operation of the host without reducing the frequency.

The technological industrial design of EasySMX D10 and the innovative design of Unitek Cooler Dock Pro perfectly integrate the cooling technology with the game console, ensuring the stability of the game console when it is running under high load. Additionally, both devices support the easy-to-use, Steam Deck Dock compatible. EasySMX D10 also has a high-quality turbo radiator, hydraulic bearing low-noise design, less than 55 DBA when holding the device, providing players with a good gaming experience.

In terms of price, the Unitek Cooler Dock Pro is priced at $119 and is now open for pre-order and is expected to start shipping from mid-December1. For users who only need an HDMI 2.0 interface, Unitek also offers a Cooler Dock priced at $89, but this product will not ship until the first quarter of 20231. In contrast, the price of the EasySMX D10 Steam Deck Cooler has not been announced, but considering its unique design and excellent performance, it is not expected to cost more than the Unitek Cooler Dock Pro.
